Aluminium Gate Suppliers Near Me in Delhi: 9 Things to Check Before You Place an Order

You type aluminium gate suppliers near me into your phone and Google hands you a map full of pins. A few are proper profile suppliers. Some are hardware shops that stock three sizes of tube. One or two probably haven’t updated their listing since 2019. So which one do you actually walk into?

If you’re building or replacing a gate in Delhi NCR, that choice matters more than most people expect. The supplier decides what goes into your gate: the alloy, the wall thickness, the finish, and whether the section you need is sitting on a shelf or three weeks away. Get it wrong and you’ll see it later, in a sagging leaf, a chalky colour, or a repair piece that never quite matches.

This is the checklist we’d use if we were standing on your side of the counter. We’ve supplied aluminium profiles from Paharganj for over 25 years, so we’ve heard most of the mistakes first-hand.

First, are you buying a gate or gate material?

This sounds obvious, but it clears up a lot of confusion.

A supplier sells the aluminium sections: tubes, angles, channels and gate profiles. A fabricator takes those sections and welds, cuts and assembles them into a finished gate. Homeowners usually deal with a fabricator. Fabricators and contractors deal with the supplier.

If you’re a homeowner, you can still use everything below. Ask your fabricator which aluminium gate profiles they plan to use, who they buy from, and what finish is on them. A good fabricator will happily tell you. A vague answer is worth noting.

Is aluminium even the right material for your gate?

For most Delhi homes, yes, with one honest caveat.

Aluminium doesn’t rust, it’s much lighter than mild steel, and it doesn’t need repainting every second monsoon. That’s a real saving over the life of a gate. The caveat is stiffness. Aluminium is less rigid than steel, so a very wide sliding gate needs heavier box or channel sections, and sometimes extra internal reinforcement. A good supplier will tell you this upfront rather than just selling you whatever is cheapest.

9 checks before you choose among aluminium gate suppliers in Delhi

1. Is the stock real?

“Available” on a listing and available on a shelf are two different things. Call, name the exact section you need, and ask when you can collect it. A supplier with running stock will answer straight away. If you hear “we’ll check and let you know,” it’s probably a special order, and that can quietly add a week to your project.

2. Which alloy are they selling?

Most architectural aluminium extrusions in India are made from 6063 alloy, usually in T5 or T6 temper. It’s a good all-rounder for gates because it extrudes cleanly and takes a finish well. Ask what alloy the supplier uses. You don’t need to be a metallurgist. You just want to see whether they know their own material.

3. What is the wall thickness, in millimetres?

Words like “heavy” and “medium” mean different things in different shops, so ask for the number in mm. A main gate that swings open and shut every day, and carries a nameplate, a latch and maybe an intercom, needs more material than a decorative panel. Wider spans need more again. If your fabricator has a thickness in mind, compare it against what the supplier is offering, not against a brochure.

4. Can you see the finish on a real piece?

Powder coating is the usual choice for gates here because Delhi throws a lot at metal: summer heat, March dust, then monsoon humidity. A colour card tells you nothing about how the coating will behave. Ask to see a finished sample piece, run your finger along the edges, and ask about coating thickness (around 60 to 80 microns is commonly quoted for outdoor use). We’ve covered this in more detail in our guide to powder coated aluminium profiles.

5. Does their range suit your type of gate?

A swing gate, a sliding gate and a decorative gate with louvered infill all need slightly different sections. If a supplier has only one or two standard shapes, you’ll end up designing around their stock instead of around your home. Look for a spread that includes tubes, angles and channels, plus gate-specific sections. You can see ours on the Gate & Louvers Profiles page.

6. Will they still be able to match it later?

Gates get extended, repaired and re-hung. Ask whether the supplier can supply the same section a few years from now. Also, powder coat shades can vary slightly between batches, so if you’re sure about the exact colour, buy a little extra at the start. It’s a small cost compared with a patchwork repair.

7. How is the price calculated?

Aluminium extrusions are commonly priced by weight. So ask for the rate per kg and the weight per metre of the section, and you can compare two quotes properly instead of guessing. Also check whether the quote includes powder coating and GST. Get it in writing, even if it’s just a message on WhatsApp.

8. What are the pickup and delivery options?

If your site is waiting, same-day pickup is worth more than a slightly lower rate. For work further out, ask how and when material will be dispatched. We send material to fabricators and contractors across Delhi NCR, including Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad.

9. Can you walk in and look?

For anything beyond a single gate, visit before you commit. Check the stock, the finish and how the team talks about their own products. People who know their material enjoy showing it.

Red flags worth walking away from

  • No clear answer on alloy or wall thickness
  • A price quoted without saying whether coating and GST are included
  • Only photos, never a physical sample
  • Pressure to order immediately “because the rate will change tomorrow”
  • Nobody willing to put the quote in writing

Where Delhi buyers usually start looking

Most people searching for aluminium gate suppliers in Delhi end up in the central markets around Paharganj, Karol Bagh and Sadar Bazaar, where a lot of the city’s aluminium and fabrication trade is clustered. It’s convenient, because you can compare two or three shops in a single trip. The trick is to carry the checklist above and ask the same questions everywhere. You’ll notice very quickly who knows their material and who is reading from a price list.

Where we fit in

Our stock point is at G-12 Pushpa Complex, D.B. Gupta Road, Paharganj, a short walk from Ramakrishna Ashram Marg metro station. Bahubali Aluminium Co. has been in this trade for over 25 years, and the business is run by Sanjay Jain and Samyak Jain. Our customers are mostly fabricators, builders and contractors, along with a few architects who send their site teams straight to us.

We stock powder-coated sections for swing gates, sliding gates and decorative work, and we’ve written separately about the specific sections fabricators ask for most in our post on being a trusted aluminium gate profiles supplier in Delhi. If you want to see our full range before visiting, the product catalogue is a good place to start.

And one fair suggestion: run this same checklist on us. Visit, ask questions, check the finish. If we pass, great. If another supplier answers all nine points better, you’ve still ended up with a better gate.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy aluminium gate profiles for just one gate?

Yes. A lot of what we sell is enough material for one or two gates, mostly to local fabricators. Bulk orders are more common for builders working on gated colonies or industrial sheds, but small orders are normal.

Which is better for a gate in Delhi, aluminium or mild steel?

If you want low maintenance, aluminium is hard to beat because it won’t rust. Mild steel is stiffer and cheaper upfront, but it needs regular repainting and can rust badly during monsoon. For very wide gates, a well-designed aluminium section with proper thickness still works, but the design matters more.

How do I know if a powder coating is good quality?

Ask to see a finished piece, not a colour chart. Look at the edges and corners, where poor coating tends to chip or thin out first. Ask about coating thickness and whether the supplier can show you a sample that has been outdoors for a while.

Do aluminium gate suppliers deliver outside Delhi?

Many do, but it varies, so always ask. We dispatch to fabricators and contractors across Delhi NCR. For a first order, we’d suggest visiting once so you can check the sections and finish in person.

What should I carry when I visit a supplier?

A rough sketch of your gate with approximate dimensions, the type of gate (swing or sliding), and a photo of any existing gate you want to match. If you’re repairing an older gate, bring a small cut piece of the section. It makes matching much quicker.

Ready to shortlist your supplier?

Searching for aluminium gate suppliers near me is the easy part. Choosing well takes a few good questions, and now you have them. If you’d like to talk through your gate before you order, call Sanjay Jain on +91 9811073759 or Samyak Jain on +91 9310488239, or just get in touch through our contact page. Tell us what you’re building, and we’ll tell you honestly what will work.
